POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning

  • Develop and update plans for web applications and IT projects including objectives, technologies, systems, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of IT projects.
  • Establish and execute a project communication plan.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings.
  • Documenting current and new applications and work flow
  • Developing specifications from current software and data sources
  • Coordinate general screenshots and layout mock-ups

Personnel and Resources

  • Select vendors or consultants to meet project needs.
  • Identify initial and supplemental IT project resource requirements.
  • Assign or coordinate the activities of project personnel.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Negotiate with project stakeholders or vendors to obtain resources or materials.
  • Manage budgets for appropriate resource allocation.

Monitoring

  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Coordinate and document security of systems, network, or data including PCI compliance documentation.
  • Develop guidelines for system implementation.
  • Verifying that applications developed by third party developers conform to project specifications and security requirements.
  • Review and Present analytical reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Expertise with traditional and agile development methodologies and best uses.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and coordination of people and resources.
  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Drafts, implements, understands, and interprets network diagrams and architectures.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • General knowledge of the Catholic church and its mission.
  • Takes pride and ownership of their work.

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

  • Microsoft Visio, Office, Project.
  • Basecamp or similar project management solutions.
  • Xendesk, Lansweeper Helpdesk or similar ticket management system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, CS, MIS, Business, or related is preferred.
  • 3 years’ minimum IT project management experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with web application architecture.
